How to Refill Brake Fluid on Kaabo Scooters

A Step-by-Step Guide for Smooth, Responsive Brakes

Keeping your scooter’s brakes in top shape is essential for safety and performance. If your Kaabo scooter brakes feel soft or unresponsive, it might be time to refill the hydraulic brake fluid. This guide walks you through the process using the Hydraulic Refill Kit from VORO Motors.

What You’ll Need

  • Hydraulic brake refill kit (includes syringe, hydraulic oil, screw tool, and hose attachment)

  • Gloves (oil is slightly corrosive)

  • Paper towel or cloth (to catch spills)

👉 For refill sizing, see: [Hydraulic Refill Kit Sizing]

Step 1: Prepare the Brake Lever

  1. Use the screw tool to remove the top screw on the brake lever.

  2. Position the lever so the screw hole is facing the ceiling.

    • This helps prevent fluid from leaking out.

    • Place a paper towel under the lever to catch spills.

  3. Double-check that the washer is still in place before moving forward.

Step 2: Add the Brake Fluid

  1. Screw in the hose attachment to the lever.

  2. Fill the syringe with hydraulic oil.

  3. Insert the plunger and slowly push the fluid into the lever.

    • While doing this, pump the brake lever continuously to release air bubbles.

    • Continue until there are no more bubbles in the line.

Step 3: Finishing Up

  1. Unscrew the syringe and hose attachment.

    • Pull the plunger upwards first to create a small vacuum—this prevents leaking.

  2. Save any leftover oil for future use.

  3. Reinstall the original screw and washer on the brake lever.

Safety Tip 🛑

After refilling, give your brakes a few firm squeezes before riding to make sure they’re fully responsive.
