Safety Features of Your Electric Bike
Electric bikes come with built-in safety features designed to protect the rider and the bike. Here’s an overview of the main safety mechanisms on your bike:
1. Tilt Sensor
-
Prevents the bike from accelerating if it tilts more than 45 degrees.
-
Can be disabled by unplugging the sensor, though this is not recommended for safety.
2. Kickstand Sensor
-
Stops the bike from accelerating when the kickstand is down.
-
Ensures the bike doesn’t move accidentally while parked.
3. Brake Sensor
-
Prevents acceleration when either brake lever is engaged.
-
Adds an extra layer of safety during riding.
Note: All three of these sensors can be bypassed by unplugging specific wires, but doing so may compromise safety and is not recommended.
4. Circuit Breaker / Fuse
-
The bike is equipped with a 100A circuit breaker to protect against electrical faults and prevent damage to the system.
5. Key Ignition
-
Comes with a set of keys that powers on the bike and allows access to the battery compartment.
Additional Info
-
The bike does not include an alarm feature.
-
These safety features work together to ensure that the bike operates safely and only under correct conditions.
