Troubleshooting an ebike that Won’t Start Out of the Box

If your new bike doesn’t start immediately, don’t worry—this is a common issue that can usually be resolved with a few simple steps.

Step 1: Charge the Battery

  • Ensure the battery is charged to at least 50% before attempting to start the scooter.

Step 2: Use the NFC Key Properly

  • Tap the NFC key correctly on the sensor to unlock the bike.

  • Some models require holding the key in place for a brief moment.

Step 3: Exit Park Mode

  • Hold the brake lever to exit Park mode.

  • The scooter will not start unless it is fully out of Park mode.

Step 4: App Pairing Not Required

  • Do not worry about pairing the app; it is not necessary to start the bike.

Step 5: Check Battery Connections

  • If the scooter is still unresponsive, check the internal battery connector to ensure it is securely attached.

  • Contact the seller or manufacturer for further assistance if the issue persists.
