Troubleshooting: Scooter Turns On but Won’t Move (Error Code Displayed)

If your scooter powers on, shows a full charge, but does not respond to the throttle and displays a red error symbol on the top-right corner of the screen, follow these steps to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Check the Display Connection

  • Turn off the scooter.

  • Disconnect the display wiring harness carefully.

  • Reconnect it firmly, ensuring all pins are seated correctly.

  • Power the scooter back on and test throttle response.

Step 2: Replace the Display

  • If reconnecting does not resolve the problem, the display may be faulty.

  • Replace it with a new display unit.

  • Test the scooter again to confirm that the throttle and other functions operate normally.

Additional Notes

  • A persistent red error symbol usually indicates a communication issue between the display and the controller.

  • Always ensure wiring is not pinched or damaged during inspection.

  • If the issue continues after replacing the display, contact your dealer for further diagnostics.

This process helps quickly isolate whether the problem lies with the display or the scooter’s controller, reducing downtime and ensuring safe operation.
